Skate culture and Improper Cotton were pretty much destined to collide.

The new Improper Cotton Skateboarding Skeleton artwork takes the raw visual language of old-school skate graphics and mixes it with the distressed, gothic identity of Improper Cotton.

A skeletal skater cuts through the center of the design beneath oversized IMPROPER COTTON lettering, surrounded by worn textures and vintage detailing.

Underneath it all sits the line that ties the entire piece together:

The washed black treatment makes the graphic feel like something you could have discovered in the back corner of an independent skate shop years ago rather than something that came straight off a production line.

The Properly Made for the Improper motorcycle graphic brings vintage Americana, tattoo flash, biker artwork and modern streetwear together in one of the boldest pieces of the new lineup.

The artwork centers around a tattooed female rider sitting on a vintage motorcycle, surrounded by wings, retro typography and deep orange accents against washed black fabric.

The result feels somewhere between an old motorcycle shop poster, vintage tattoo artwork and a modern oversized streetwear graphic.

IMPR Cotton Crown: Clean Branding, Heavy Streetwear Energy

Sometimes you don't need a giant illustrated graphic to make something unmistakably Improper.

The IMPR Cotton Crown design strips things down and lets the branding carry the piece.

A large flowing IMPR logo sits underneath the crown, with COTTON anchoring the design below it. The distressed white artwork against the faded blue fabric creates the kind of worn-in appearance that works especially well with oversized streetwear silhouettes.

The SOBER RECOVERY skeleton graphic might be one of the clearest representations of what this side of Improper Cotton is becoming.
